IF YOU PAID WITH YOUR DEBIT CARDThe 120-day deadline is crucial and you are barred, in most circumstances, from making a claim after this period.

However, the Financial Ombudsman Service told me it encourages consumers to lodge a complaint with it if their chargeback claim has been rejected due to being out of time.

It says there are often factors that mean the consumer is not out of time. It's a free service so worth a try.
