The New Williamfield outfit had done well to restrict their hosts to 213 for eight in their allotted 50 overs, with the highlight being teenager Zach Coffee's first wicket on debut. County lost two early wickets but a couple of partnerships put them back on track. But when South African Kyle Northend was dismissed for 56 with the score on 136, the rest of the batting collapsed to 162 all out

The loss drops them to the foot of the table - making Saturday's match at home at secondbottom Glasgow High/ Kelvinside a crucial one. The 2nd XI lost by three wickets to Dean Park (Renfrew 2nds) by three wickets at New Williamfield in their latest Western Championship One match.

Youngster Aaron Gairns held the innings together with 58 but Taral Khasiya's five for 24 reduced them to 141 all out.
