Love Island star Lillie Haynes' family have urged viewers to 'be kind,' after the South Shields girl has been the subject of some vile comments online.

At the start of the week, the trainee accountant went into the ITV2 show as a Casa Amor bombshell, with the second villa throwing opening its doors once again to cause drama.

Prior to going into Casa Amor, Lillie said she had her eye on Jake but it is Liam, who she labelled "a dark horse," that she has got close to.

After he kissed her during a game of Truth or Dare on Monday night, she made her interest in him clear; with the two sharing a bed as Millie, who Liam has been coupled up with for a number of weeks, remained blissfully ignorant to his behaviour back in the main villa.

And then on Thursday night, fans were left furious on Millie's behalf when Love Island's Liam kisses Lillie as Millie kept in the dark over his Casa Amor betrayal, before then confiding in the other boys that he had "a lot of respect" for Millie.

While Liam has sparked a massive negative reaction on social media this week, Lillie, 22, has also been targeted with abuse from angry viewers; some of them championing Millie by having low blows at her and others branding her "desperate."
