Anthony Reid and Zadia Salami

A couple who fronted a dark web operation to sell crystal meth were found with half a million pounds worth of the drug in their home.

Parents Anthony Reid, 38, and Zadia Salami, 30, were also harbouring wholesale amounts of other class A and B drugs, which banking IT expert Reid sent to customers all over the country.

The major dark web operation was discovered behind the door of a Toxteth home on Cairns Street after £120,000 worth of crystal meth, addressed to Reid in Warbreck Moor, was intercepted.

The drugs found at the raid included a kilo of ecstasy tablets, £7,500 worth of flowering cannabis heads, two and a half kilos of MDMA powder, cocaine and ketamine.

Greedy Reid admitted earning up to £60,000 from his banking job, and investigations into his computer revealed incriminating data detailing thousands of pounds worth of drug orders.

Reid was jailed for 12 years after pleading guilty to conspiring to smuggle Class A drugs and two offences of conspiring to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

Salami was jailed for three and a half years for conspiring to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

After he was transferred to HMP Sudbury the pair continued their forbidden romance, exchanging over 3,000 messages on an illicit mobile phone King had in his possession.
