An Act to enable Low's Patent Copper Company to
work certain Letters Patent. [22d July 1848.]
HEREAS by Letters Patent under the Great Sea] of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Ireland,
bearing
Date at Westminster on or about the Fourth Day of
November in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of Her present Majesty^
Her said Majesty did grant unto Charles Low, of Roseberry Place,
Dalston, in the County of Middlesex, Gentleman, his Executors,
Administrators, and Assigns, the sole Privilege of working, using,
and vending a certain Invention, therein intituled "Improvements in
the Manufacture of Zinc, Copper, Tin, and other Metals," within
England, Wales, Berwick-upon-Tweed, the Islands of Jersey, Guern-
sey, Alderney, Sark, and Man, and in Her Majesty's Colonies and
Plantations abroad, during the Term of Fourteen Years from the
Date of the said Letters Patent: And whereas the said

Low
has disclaimed that Part of the Title of the said Invention which is
contained in the Words "Zinc, Tin, and other Metals:" And whereas
•he said Letters Patent contain a Proviso or Condition against the
said Letters Patent, or the Liberties and Privileges thereby granted,
becoming vested in or in trust for more than Twelve Persons or
their Representatives, at any One Time, as Partners dividing or
entitled to divide the Benefit or Profits obtained by reason of the said
Letters Patent: And whereas a Company called "Low's Patent
Copper Company," consisting of more than Twelve Persons, has
been established for working the said Invention, and for other Pur-
