-INGERSOLL RAND ACQUIRES GERMAN TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION SPECIALIST

Ireland-based industrial company Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE: IR) has completed the acquisition of Germany-based transport refrigeration company Frigoblock, Ingersoll-Rand said. Frigoblock manufactures and designs transport refrigeration units for trucks and trailers in Europe, primarily sold in Northern Europe. Frigoblock operates in Essen, Germany and is home to about 150 employees. The company's annual revenue is approximately EUR 41m. The deal is worth EUR 100m.

-SEMTECH ACQUIRES WIRELESS CHARGING SPECIALIST TRIUNE FOR USD 45M

US-based chipmaker Semtech Corp. (NASDAQ: SMTC) has completed the acquisition of wireless charging and power management platform developer Triune Systems, L.L.C., the company said. The acquisition will add approximately 35 employees with the majority of these employees based in Plano, Texas. Ross Teggatz, founder and chief executive officer of Triune Systems, will join Semtech as senior vice president and general manager of Semtech's Power Management and High-Reliability Product Group. Under the deal, Semtech paid USD 45m consisting of USD 35m cash paid at closing, with an additional cash consideration of USD 10m to be paid in six months and additional contingent consideration subject to achieving certain future financial goals.

-MAX KING REALTY ACQUIRES ORLANDO PROPERTY FROM FIFTH THIRD BANK

US-based property company Max King Realty's Kingstone Family Holding Co. LLC affiliate has purchased four acres of commercial property in Orlando, Florida, USA from US-based Fifth Third Bank, the company said. According to the company, the property, at 7620 presidents Drive at the intersection of Sand Lake Road and presidents Drive, is a corner property located at the gateway to the Orlando Central Park, represents an opportunity for attracting national retailers.

-ALLIED GLOBAL ACQUIRES CALL CENTRE OPERATOR

Canada-based accounts receivable services provider Allied Global has acquired Canada-based call centre services company Alliance iCommunications, Allied said. Alliance provides inbound and outbound call center services specializing in customer care, customer acquisition and retention, and roadside assistance. The company was founded in London, Ontario 20 years ago by Dave and Sheila LeClair and expanded to South Bend, Indiana in 2009.

-ALORICA ACQUIRES AGENT SERVICES BUSINESSES FROM WEST FOR USD 275M

US-based customer management outsourcing solutions company Alorica has completed its acquisition of several of US-based West Corp.'s (NASDAQ: WSTC) agent services businesses for approximately USD 275m, the company said. With the move, Alorica said it is now one of the largest Business Process Outsourcing providers in the US. The acquisition is part of Alorica's strategy to become the number one BPO provider in the company's addressable markets. Acquiring West's agent services businesses broadens Alorica's product offerings and market reach, enhances the company's delivery capabilities and allows the company to continue its sustained growth on a global scale, Alorica said.

-SUNEDISON ACQUIRES ENERGY STORAGE ASSETS, PROJECTS

US-based renewable energy development company SunEdison, Inc. (NYSE: SUNE) has acquired the energy storage project origination team, project pipeline and four operating storage projects from US-based combined energy storage and solar PV system specialist Solar Grid Storage LLC, the company said. With the move SunEdison now offers battery storage solutions to complement solar and wind projects worldwide, providing solutions that can benefit utilities, municipalities, businesses, and consumers alike.

-MALLINCKRODT PHARMACEUTICALS TO ACQUIRE IKARIA FOR USD 2.3BN

Ireland-based specialty biopharmaceutical company Mallinckrodt plc (NYSE: MNK) and privately-held critical care company Ikaria, Inc. have entered into a definitive agreement under which a subsidiary of Mallinckrodt will acquire Ikaria, Inc. from a Madison Dearborn-led investor group in a transaction valued at approximately USD 2.3bn, the companies said.

-OGSYSTEMS ACQUIRES INTELLIGENCE COMPANY URBAN ROBOTICS

US-based defense and intelligence technology company OGSystems (OGS) has acquired US-based airborne military Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance applications specialist Urban Robotics, the company said. Urban Robotics provides solutions to create high-resolution 3D models for special operations mission planning using cluster computing and algorithms to solve complex 2D and 3D geospatial problems.

-TRIMBLE ACQUIRES GERMAN INFRASTRUCTURE SOFTWARE SPECIALIST

US-based field and mobile workforce technology provider Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) has acquired Germany-based infrastructure project software specialist Linear Project GMBH, the company said. Linear Project's Tilos time and location planning software is used worldwide and is ideal for highways, railways, pipelines, tunnels, water engineering, transmission line construction and other linear civil engineering projects. According to Trimble, linear construction projects present unique challenges, because the work is not performed in a single location.

-ABBVIE TO ACQUIRE PHARMACYCLICS IN USD 261.25M DEAL

US biopharmaceutical companies AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) and Pharmacyclics (NASDAQ: PCYC) have inked a definitive agreement under which AbbVie will acquire Pharmacyclics and its flagship Imbruvica (ibrutinib) cancer drug, the companies said on Thursday. Imbruvica is a treatment for hematologic malignancies. The acquisition accelerates AbbVie's clinical and commercial presence in oncology, strengthening its pipeline.
