MAGNA CHARTA.The GREAT CHARTER,Made in the Ninth Year of King Henry the Third, and confirmed by King Edward the First in the Five and twentieth Year of His Reign . Purveyance for a Castle.

(25 Edw. 1) C A P. XIX.

'NO Constable, nor his Bailiff, shall take corn or other chattles of any man, if the man be not of the Town where the Castle is, but he shall forthwithpay for the same, unless that the will of the seller was to respite the payment; (2)and if he be of the same Town, the price shall be paid unto him within forty days.'
