Hammerson is pleased to announce that it has signed JD Sports and Space NK at Dundrum Town Centre, as it continues to attract high-profile brands, new concepts and market firsts.
These new deals will create one of the largest JD Sports in Ireland and will see beauty retailer, Space NK open its second store in the country.
The signings come as international independent real estate analysts Green Street upgraded Dundrum Town Centre to A++ for the quality of its occupier mix, connectivity, competitiveness and overall build, making it the only retail destination in Ireland to achieve this rating.
JD Sports will almost double its footprint at Dundrum, to over 22,000 sq ft, making it one of the biggest in the UK & Ireland. The leading trainer and sports fashion brand will meet the increasing demand for athleisure, which continues to be a top performing category across Hammerson's city-centre assets and estates. The new store demonstrates the appeal of Dundrum Town Centre and is reflective of Hammerson's wider strategy to attract new audiences with in-demand brands, social and entertainment offers.
Space NK, which is the UK's biggest beauty only retailer, will open its second store in Ireland at Dundrum Town Centre, as the beauty retailer expands its footprint in the country following its inaugural site on Grafton Street. Space NK which has a strong following of beauty customers across all age demographics, bringing brands to the city such a Rare Beauty, Kosas and Tatcha.
The high-profile deals continue the repositioning of Dundrum Town Centre, which reached new milestones last year, with the repurposing of over 200,000 sq ft of space. Introducing the first ever Nike Live in Ireland, Penneys new 80,000 sq ft flagship store as well as Dunnes Stores, Skechers and a new, best-in-class workspace for Western Union. Supported by a series of activations, cultural programmes and events, this repositioning generated an increase in footfall (+3.3%) and sales (+1.5%) for the destination in 2023 year-on-year.
