Man in hospital with serious injuries after broad daylight murder bid on Maryhill road

The broad daylight attack happened at around 4.15pm yesterday (September 11) on Dalsholm Road where a man was found seriously injured.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and a 41-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Scotland has confirmed that extensive enquiries have been ongoing with detectives working alongside local uniformed officers who are interested in speaking to anyone who has information surrounding a burnt out car that may be linked to the incident.

It was reported that a black Ford Kuga vehicle was found on a cycle track near Kelso Street and Dumbarton Road, Glasgow around 4.25pm on Saturday, 11 September, 2021.

Detective Inspector Craig Warren, of Police Scotland's CID Unit, said: "A man has sustained serious injuries as a result of this attack and we are appealing for information to help trace those responsible.

"There would have been members of the public in the area at the time of the incident...
