A smaller entry sold well throughout maintaining last week's rates. The sale peaked at £1460 for a big Angus cross bullock from Mr John Carpenter, Rare Dean, with heifers topping at £1420 for a super red Limousin cross from Messrs AJ Marr, Old Ravensworth. With most orders filled during May the great rates seen at the last sale where hardly replicated however the best outfit: a super ¾ beef bred Black Limousin cross heifer, from Messrs Foley Brothers, Mirlaw House, with a tremendously shapely 7/8 bred spring steer calf at foot sold for £2900 to a delightful Cumbrian based buyer. Messrs Foley enjoyed a useful trade across their entire consignment of 14 pairs and averaged £2410 throughout.
