Some 814 prime sheep were presented, comprising 14 spring lambs, 632 prime hoggs and 168 cast sheep.

They were a fantastic trade; the beef is soon becoming a high-value commodity. Again this week cattle on offer were presented with more cover and flesh, and a large percentage of the cattle sold were Angus. The trade going forward gives wholesalers, butchers, and other buyers confidence to press on when cattle are finished and fattened correctly.
