Mazda Motor Corporation (TYO: 7261), a Japan-based automaker, is asking its suppliers to manufacture more in Japan and less in China.

The automaker is taking this step after experiencing considerable disruption to parts supply from Chinese companies effected by COVID-19 lockdowns in 2022.
