CHAPTER xxvii.
An Act to confirm certain Provisional Orders of AD-1927-
the Minister of Health relating to Bilston
Bournemouth Carnarvon Longtown and Border
Joint Hospital District Reigate Joint Hospital
District and Thurrock Grays and Tilbury Joint
Sewerage District. [29th June 1927.]
YTfHEREAS the Minister of Health has made the
V\ Provisional Orders set forth in the schedule
hereto under the provisions of the Public Health Act
38 &
39 Vict.
1875 and the Local Government Act 1888 : °. 55.

52 Vict.
And whereas it is requisite that the said Orders c. 41.
should be confirmed by Parliament:
Be it therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent
Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Lords
Spiritual and Temporal and Commons in this present
Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same
as follows :
1.
The Orders set out in the schedule hereto shall Orders in
be and the same are hereby confirmed and all the sc^^d
provisions thereof shall have full validity and force.
2.
This Act may be cited as the Ministry of Health Short title
Provisional Orders Confirmation (No. 1) Act 1927.

Provisional Orders Confirmation (No. 1) Act, 1927.
SCHEDULE.
URBAN DISTRICT OF BILSTON,
Bilston Provisional Order for partially repealing the Bilston
Order. Improvement Act 1850.
WHEREAS the Urban District Council of Bilston (hereinafter
referred to as "the Council") are the Local Authority within
the meaning of the Public Health Act 1875 for the Urban District
of Bilston (hereinafter referred to as "the District");
And whereas there are in force in the District the unrepealed
provisions of the Bilston Improvement Act 1850 (hereinafter
referred to as " the Local Act ");
And whereas Section 1 of the Local Act incorporates certain
provisions of the Towns Improvement Clauses Act 1847 (herein-
after referred to as " the Act of 1847 ") and the Council propose
to make new byelaws under the Public Health Acts the subject-
matter of which will be cognate to the subject-matter of certain
of the said provisions of the Act of 1847;
And whereas the Council have accordingly made application
to the Minister of Health for the issue of a Provisional Order
partially to repeal the Local Act in the manner hereinafter set
forth :
Now therefore the Minister of Health in pursuance of the
powers given to him by Section 303 of the Public Health Act
1875 and of any other powers in that behalf hereby orders as
follows :
1.
Section 1 of the Local Act shall be repealed in so far as
it incorporates the under-mentioned sections of the Act of 1847
namely :
Sections 36 to 42 inclusive which relate to the drainage of
houses and the provision of privies and ashpits.
Sections 57 to 60 inclusive which relate to the laying out
of new streets.
Sections 84 85 and 86 which relate to objections to intended
works in so far as those sections refer to procedure
in connection with or consequent upon the fixing of
the level of a new street.
