The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1995

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament on the recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs and has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 2(2) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 19711, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

S-1 This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971...

1. This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st September 1995.

S-2 Schedule 2 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (which specifies...

2. Schedule 2 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 19712(which specifies the drugs which are subject to control under that Act) shall be amended by the omission, from paragraph 1 of Part III of that Schedule, of the word “Propylhexedrine”.

S-3 Article 2(3)(d) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification)...

3. Article 2(3)(d) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 19863shall be amended by the substitution, for the words

“the words “Propylhexedrine” and “Pyrovalerone””, of the words

“the word “Pyrovalerone””.

This Order removes from Part III of Schedule 2 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (which specifies the Class C drugs which are subject to control under that Act) Propylhexedrine.
