Mobile application of BTS
tower search build upon
location based service (LBS)

Introduction
Base transceiver station is a device in
a cellular telecommunications network
in the form of a tower, with a certain
height completing by transmitter and
receiver antennas. And there are
telecommunication devices in a room
called a shelter (Fathurochman et al.,
2014).
In a telecommunications network, BTS
is very important because it connects the
network of a cellular telecommunications
operator with its customers. Therefore,
it must be routinely checked to keep
BTS working optimally (Arif and
Mauludiyanto, 2015).
There are some of the technician
team and the vendor find difficulties in
looking for the position of the BTS
tower. As a solution, a facility which
enables them to access the location in
searching the BTS tower is needed.
Mobile application is the chosen
facility because it provides a primary
advantage, namely, sources of
information which can be accessed
from anywhere and at any time (Shirin
et al., 2016).
Referring the phenomenon, the
researchers create an application to
deal with problems faced by the
technician team and the vendor in
searching the location of BTS tower.
This application not only relies on
coordinate information data or the
address of the operator’s office, but
also uses the site id which is as an
actual identity of each tower.
The use of Geographic Information
System (GIS) completing with the
GoogleMapsAPIasaguidein
location search is the right step,
because GIS can enhance time
efficiency, accuracy, and project
management (Ranggadara and Triana,
2018).
Application development
This application uses the Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
methodology which is the process of
developing or changing a software
system.
One of the models owned by SDLC
is the waterfall technique. It provides a
sequential software flow approach
starting from analysis, design, coding,
testing and supporting stages (Nugroho
et al., 2015).
At the design stage, the researchers
design system activities using the
Unified Modeling Language (UML)
method (Subekti et al., 2014).
The design system is presented in
several diagrams, such as Use Case
Diagram and Activity diagram. In
addition, this research not only uses
SDLC and UML, but also applies
several services, as follows:
