Moors triumph after late show

The visitors have forged a reputation as giant-killers in this season's competition and they looked likely to live up to that tag with a dogged and determined first-half display

After seeing off some early pressure from the Moors, mainly thanks to the impressive performance of goalkeeper Kyle Moore, Parkway got themselves in front on the half-hour mark.

A well-worked move involving Jack Crago and Callum Hall allowed the latter to give Tom Bath an opportunity that he did not waste with a cool finish beyond Moors debutant keeper Jordan Amissah.

The lead remained intact until half time and was immediately threatened by a positive start to the second half from the Moors.

Rob Ramshaw came close to grabbing an equaliser after a neat pass from James Curtis and Kenton Richardson just missed out on getting on the end of a Luke Spokes free kick.

Unquestionably the best opportunity to get back on level terms fell to Richardson with 12 minutes remaining as the Sunderland loanee was denied by Moore from point-blank range after impressive approach play from Frank Mulhern.

The resistance was finally broken with five minutes remaining as Spokes fired through a crowded area and finally beat the Parkway...
