Paedophiles, burglars and drug dealers are among the crooks locked up in North Eastcourtsthroughout July.

They include a former football coach; a violent teenager who raped a woman and a 14-year-old girl; and a teacher who targeted a 16 year old girl.

Here are 20 criminals locked up last month.

Predatory George Ormond was a highly respected football coach who helped out atNewcastle United.

ButOrmonduse his position to manipulate young players and sexually abuse them.

He targeted boys as young as 11 over 24 years of offending.

He has been jailed for 20 years.

Teacher John Stubbins has beenjailed for two years and two monthsand ordered to register as a sex offender.

Stubbins, 44, was a primary school head teacher when he manipulated a 16-year-old girl into sending him intimate images of herself.

Stubbins, of St Cuthbert's Road, Gateshead, had previously admitted to two counts of sexual exploitation, one of possessing an indecent image, and another of possessing 16 category C indecent images of the teenager.

BMX-riding pervert Rhyss Laws subjected an early-morning runner to a terrifying ordeal during which she desperately fought him off, believing he was about to rape her as he pinned her down.

A court heard the victim, who is in her 40s, has been left deeply traumatised by the sex assault, during which she was pinned to the ground as Laws tried to pull her leggings down.

Laws, 19, from Storey Crescent, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea has been locked up for five years. He was on bail at the time of the offence for a driving offence which left his friend seriously hurt.

A violent teenager who raped two women - including a girl aged just 14 -has been jailed.

Corey Nesbitt targeted his first victim on social media, luring the 14-year-old to his home before forcing himself upon her.

The 19-year-old struck again after meeting a woman in West Park,South Shields, and telling her: "I am going to rape you like you've never been raped before."

Nesbitt, of Saint Jude's Terrace, was sentenced to 16 years behind bars atNewcastle Crown Court.
