Names in the frame as Wilder starts to draw up shopping list for the summer

After finishing seventh, just one place outside the play-of f places, the goal for Chris Wilder now is to strengthen his squad in the transfer window to aim for better next term

As is always the case at this time of year, plenty of names will be linked with a move to Boro, with the club monitoring numerous targets, not all of whom they will actually move for.

Agents will also throw clubs into the mix as being interested in their clients in order to drum up interest from elsewhere.

As the summer progresses we'll update this list throughout the summer with any new names linked to the club, as well as any developments with the player ie transfer moves elsewhere or signing new deals at their current clubs.

Below is the full list of players linked with Boro so far this summer.

GOALKEEPERS Karl Darlow (Newcastle) Alan Nixon first credited Boro with interest in Karl Darlow for the Sun back in April, with those reports resurfacing more recently. Likely to be part of a big summer clearout on Tyneside.

Toby Savin (Accrington Stanley) Back in February Alan Nixon claimed that Boro were taking an interest in two Stanley players, one being 21-year-old Savin. Considered a really bright prospect, he kept nine clean sheets in League One last season.

Daniel Iverson (Leicester City) As part of the same Sun report that claimed they were looking at Darlow, Nixon also wrote that they were tracking Iverson after an impressive loan spell at Preston North End. A new keeper is needed this summer.

Zander Clark (St Johnstone) The 29-year-old goalkeeper is a free agent this summer and Football League World have claimed Boro are interested. The shot-stopper kept his 14th clean sheet of the season on

Monday evening to help his side regain their Scottish Premiership status but is now certain to leave. Dundee United and Aberdeen have also been linked.

Tom Heaton (Manchester United) Alan Nixon claims that Chris Wilder tried to convince Dean Henderson to move on loan to Teesside after a successful spell together at Sheffield United, but Henderson looks likely to stay in the Premier League. Instead, Boro are now interested in Henderson's Man Utd team-mate Tom Heaton, Nixon has claimed.

Liam Roberts (Northampton Town) The 27-year-old shot-stopper won Northampton's Player of the Season award and Player's Player after a fine campaign.
