Sue
Ashtiany
of
Ashtiany Associates is a solicitor specialising in
employment and equality law. She is also a consultant with Nabarro LLP.
She is a Trustee
of
The Equal Rights Trust; Government Ambassador for
Diversity in Public Office; Vice President
of
the Industrial Law Society;
and former Equal Opportunities Commissioner.
John
Lulham,
TfL Head
of
Contracts and Procurement(Streets), is a
qualified accountant and has worked for Transport for London and its
predecessor organisations for over 40 years. In recent years he has led the
implementation
of
TtL's Equality and Diversity policies
in
two major
contracts totaling £ 1.5bn as well as in a number
of
smaller contracts. He
was one
of
the first TfL procurement specialists to see the importance
of
integrating equality and diversity into the procurement process and has
worked with contractors and suppliers to raise awareness
of
the diversity
agenda, helping them develop their own policies and bring them up to the
required standards. He was awarded an MBE for services to Equality and
Diversity in 2009.
Simonetta
Manfredi
is Reader in Equality and Diversity Management
and Director
of
the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice
at Oxford Brookes University. Over the last three years she has been
leading two projects funded
by
the Higher Education Funding Council
under its Leadership, Governance and Management scheme to research
and develop knowledge transfer
on
retirement policies and age
discrimination.
Christopher
McCrudden
is Professor
of
Human Rights Law at the
University
of
Oxford; Fellow
of
Lincoln College, Oxford; William W
Cook Global Professor
of
Law, University
of
Michigan Law School; and
a Fellow
of
the British Academy. He is also a barrister at Blackstone
Chambers. He was a member
of
the
NI
Procurement Board from
2003-
2008; and
of
the Public Procurement Implementation Group,
NI
Exec.,
in 2001. He has published widely on constitutional and administrative
law, anti-discrimination law and human rights.
Colm
O'Cinneide
is a Reader in Human Rights Law at University
College. He was a member
of
the
UK
Task Force on the establishment
of
the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights and specialist
legal advisor to the Joint Committee on Human Rights on the Equality
