The Official Secrets (Prohibited Places) Order, 1959

In pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section three of the Official Secrets Act, 1911(a), as amended by section ten of the Official Secrets Act, 1920(b), and as read with section six of the Atomic Energy Authority Act, 1954(c), I hereby make the following Order:—

1. The places specified in the Schedule to this Order, being places belonging to or used for the purposes of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, are declared to be prohibited places for the purposes of section three of the Official Secrets Act, 1911, on the ground that information with respect thereto, or damage thereto, would be useful to an enemy.

2. This Order may be cited as the Official Secrets (Prohibited Places) Order, 1959, and shall come into operation on the twentieth day of April, 1959.
