The Pedlars' Certificates (Variation of Fee) Order 1985

In pursuance of sections 35(2) and 40 of, and paragraph 8 of Part II of Schedule 3 to, the Local Government Act 1966(a), I hereby make the following Order:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Pedlars' Certificates (Variation of Fee) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 3rd February 1986.

(2) This Order does not extend to Scotland or Northern Ireland.

2. Section 5 of the Pedlars Act 1871(b) (grant of pedlar's certificate) shall be amended in regulation (3) by substituting for the sum of £10.50 the sum of £12.25.

3. The Pedlars' Certificates (Variation of Fee) Order 1983(c) is hereby revoked.

(This Note is not part of the Order.)

This Order increases from £10.50 to £12.25 the fee payable in England and Wales for a pedlar's certificate under the Pedlars Act 1871.
