Penalty earns Shepshed a share of the spoils

A final score of 1-1 against Daventry Town in the Pitching in Northern Premier League Midlands Division at The Dovecote Stadium

Daventry Town took the lead on 24 minutes through Taylor Orosz and Matt Melbourne gained Shepshed a point with a 49th minute penalty.

For the first 10 minutes of the game

Shepshed were the stronger side with Melbourne dragging the ball across the box on three minutes.

The fourth game on the trot the crossbar wasn't Dynamo's friend. Dempsey Arlott-John's shot was saved by former Shepshed's goalkeeper James Martin on five minutes and his resultant corner rebounded off the bar.

Reece Morris and Melbourne combined well a minute later but Daventry diverted the ball away from Jack Rogers. George Ball fired over from Daventry's first chance on 10 minutes.

Town were playing a high defensive line as Morris put Rogers through only to be in an offside position on 16 minutes.

Orosz gave the visitors the lead on 27 minutes he latched onto a ball over the top one on one with Matty White he slotted home.

Tom Lorraine had the chance to double the lead six minutes later firing into White.
