Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh fought back tears as she opened up about being sexually assaulted in a live interview on the show.

Ranvir is the host of Ghislaine, Loose Women's Denise Welch shares 'personal beef' with Prince Andrew over dinner party comments and the Paedophile, which will air on ITV on Tuesday night.

She spoke about the documentary on GMB, talking to her colleagues Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid about filming and what it was like speaking to some of Epstein's victims.

Recalling an interview with one of them Lisa Phillips, Ranvir told the hosts: "Often when we do this job people think we are just out to make people cry on telly, do you know what I mean, I'm being blunt about how people view journalists.

"It was just an instant thing -I felt a shocking sense of empathy with what she was describing."

And it was at that point that Ranvir told Richard and Susanna that she confided in Lisa about her own experience of being sexually assaulted, explaining: "I was acutely aware we were on camera but it's a human to human experience when someone is telling you something so painful.

"So I did say to her 'something happened to me when I was 12 and I understand you shouldn't feel guilty about not...'"
