Renesas Closes USD 315m Acquisition of Celeno.

Japan-based semiconductor solutions provider Renesas Electronics Corp. (TSX: 6723) has closed the acquisition of Israel-based Wi-Fi solutions provider Celeno Communications, in an all-cash transaction valuing Celeno at approximately USD 315m (JPY 35.9bn), the company said.
The acquisition enhances Renesas' connectivity portfolio with the addition of Celeno's industry leading Wi-Fi technologies and software expertise.
Celeno offers a range of wireless communication solutions, including advanced Wi-Fi chipsets and software solutions, for high-performance home networks, smart buildings, enterprise and industrial markets.
