Representation of the People (Reading University) Act, 1928

(18 & 19 Geo. 5.) CHAPTER 25.

An Act to make provision with respect to the representation of the University of Reading in Parliament.

Be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Representation of University of Reading in Parliament.

1. The provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1918, shall be read and have effect as if in the Third Part of the Ninth Schedule to that Act the University of Reading were added to the combination of universities consisting of the University of Durham, the Victoria University of Manchester, the University of Liverpool, the University of Leeds, the University of Sheffield, the University of Birmingham and the University of Bristol.

2 Short title.

2. This Act may be cited as theRepresentation of the People (Reading University) Act, 1928, and shall be included among the Acts which may be cited together as the Representation of the People Acts.
