Sam Fender has vowed to give a Brit Award to North Shields pub Low Lights Tavern to turn into a beer pump as he canvassed for votes in the Best Rock/Alternative category.

Seventeen Going Under star Sam already has one Brit to his name, having been chosen as the recipient of the Critics Choice accolade back in 2019.

He has since been nominated in the Best New Artist category, losing out to Lewis Capaldi in 2020 and is now up for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Sam Fender needs Newcastle's help to bag a Brit Award as voting launches on TikTok

The winner of latter is chosen by the public and, just as the vote opened on TiTok, Sam took to Instagram to urge fans to get behind him.

It was in the same video that he promised to put the Brit on display at his beloved Low Lights Tavern should he win.

The pub, where Sam recorded a special performance for America's The Tonight Show last year, is already home to Sam's Critics Choice trophy.

And Sam told fans that, if he should win the Best Rock/Alternative gong he wanted it to be a beer pump at Low Lights.
