Saturday Kitchen has been the unlikely subject of angry complaints after viewers hit out at BBC Breakfast presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt's 'rude' behaviour on the weekend show.

The usually calm BBC programme had fans furious over what they dubbed 'inappropriate' actions from the presenters, especially given that they are hosts themselves.

At one point during the offending episode on February 20, Naga told viewers: "For everyone who had turned off the news for a bit of relaxation, don't tune in to Saturday Kitchen," before telling host Matt Tabbutt: "it's better without you anyway!"

Charlie also ridiculed Matt''s questions, with the TV host admitting he was losing control of the studio.

Charlie said: "I want to see the list -he's worked hard on these."

One unimpressed viewer reacted: "For me it just wasn't very enjoyable tv. If Naga and Charlie had just done a bit of banter but then settled down, it may have been ok.

"But a whole programme like this was just a bit tiresome," and, equally annoyed, another tweeted Matt to say: "keep up the good work. forget petulant charles and naga."

But, while some fans of the show were rubbed up the wrong way by Charlie and Naga, others said they made it highly entertaining, with one tweeting: "the BEST Saturday Kitchen I have seen in a long time. Naga and Charlie total legends....."
