Six residents die at Covid-hit care homes

Health officials are currently dealing with outbreaks at eight homes across the region, although they have not specify where the residents who died within 28 days of their positive test had been staying

Admissions and visiting at Annan Hospital remains suspended with 15 positive cases confirmed among patients there.

The affected homes are Alma McFadyen House in Dalbeattie, Annan Court Care Home, Carlingwark House in Castle Douglas, Dryfemount Care

Home in Lockerbie, Merse House in Kirkcudbright, Allanbank Care Home in Dumfries, Bankfoot House in

Moffat and Queensberry Care Home in Sanquhar.
