The Social Security (Consequential Provisions) Act 1992 Appointed Day Order 1993

Made 7th April 1993

The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 6 of, and paragraph 1(3)(a) of Schedule 4 to, the Social Security (Consequential Provisions) Act 19921and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

S-1 Citation

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Security (Consequential Provisions) Act 1992 Appointed Day Order 1993.

S-2 Appointed Day

Appointed Day

2. The day appointed in respect of paragraphs 8 and 9 of Schedule 4 to the Social Security (Consequential Provisions) Act 1992 (transitory modifications) is 19th April 1993.

(This note is not part of the Order)

In this Order, 19th April 1993 is appointed as the day on which certain transitory modifications to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 (c. 4)(“the Benefits Act”), made by the Social Security (Consequential Provisions) Act 1992, no longer have effect. From that date, interest may be charged in respect of Class 4 contributions payable under the Benefits Act where those contributions are overdue.
