Speedy Italian takeaway Fireaway to open first Birmingham branch offering Nutella pizzas

Fireaway, which began in London in 2016, and now has 70 outlets across the country from Glasgow and Cardiff to Exeter and now Sutton Coldfield.

The latest outlet is set to open in former chicken eatery Peri Frangos in Chester Road North, opposite Tesco and near the Beggars Bush.

It offers authentic Italian pizzas made with hand-made dough, with tomatoes from Naples and flour from Milan, cooked in a stone fired oven.

As well as pizzas, calzone, garlic bread and salads, the venue also offers a Nutella pizza with strawberries and marshmallows, for those wanting a sweet option.

The restaurant’s founder Mario Aleppo has based the menu on his grandmother’s recipe from the Amalfi coast of Italy.

Pizza lovers have a choice of four bases – tomato, barbecue, pesto or garlic oil, four cheeses -cheddar, Parmesan, mozzarella or buffalo mozzarella.

Then four meats – pepperoni, ham, pulled chicken and turkey bacon. And then 20 more toppings to build the perfect pizza. Topped with chill or garlic oil, oregano and chilli flakes. All at the same price.

And the food is fast with each pizza cooked at 400 degrees for around three minutes.

The eatery also offers milkshakes, cannoli – Italian pastries with a sweet, creamy filling and Vegan options.
