HIS weekend is all about the return of Luxembourg and Aidan O'Brien's top-class threeyear-old is poised to pitch up in the Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh (4.05) on Saturday. He should prove tough to beat

Luxembourg finished a creditable third in the 2,000 Guineas when last seen and that performance, in which he stumbled upon leaving the stalls and mounted his challenge from the wrong side of the track, prompted his hardening into favouritism for the Derby at Epsom.

However, injury has since interrupted his campaign and this represents his first run in 105 days.

While it is unlikely he will be at his best with bigger targets awaiting down the line, he probably won't need to be completely on his A-Game to capture this looking at his likely rivals.

She produced an impressive Racing Post Rating of 93 that day and was subsequently beaten at odds of 2-7 to round off her juvenile campaign.

The daughter of Caravaggio is clearly highly regarded as she was sent off a 5-1 shot to defeat Homeless Songs in a 1,000 Guineas trial on her return, but flopped there and again at Naas in July.

However, I saw more from her at Galway in the Listed Corrib Fillies' Stakes last time when she was only beaten three and threequarter lengths by track...
