UK students rise to CIMA Global Business Challenge.

CIMA's Global Business Challenge, an international competition held in partnership with Barclays and designed to bring out the best in potential young business leaders and provide them the opportunity to showcase their talent on a global platform, has been won by a team of students from the UK while a student from South Africa has scooped the Future Business Leader Award.

The UK team, from Exeter University and called The Indivisibles, triumphed over stiff competition from 21 other regions at the event hosted in Sri Lanka. To secure the top prize, they presented a business case in relation to a hypothetical scenario based on CIMA's T4 Case Study. This was assessed by industry experts from organisations across the globe, including CIMA, Barclays and Unilever as the best response to the issues faced.

They were commended for showing a passion for business and a drive to succeed and the judges stated that they had "provided innovative and practical solutions that balanced attention to detail with the appreciation of broad strategic issues".

CIMA's Global Business Challenge continues to go from strength to strength, and has evolved from eight regions and countries in 2009 to encompass 22 this year.
