A survey by ILOG and Intelligent Enterprise magazine has found that companies that view information technology (IT) as a strategic asset operate twice as efficiently as companies that do not. Similarly, the survey found that companies that viewed IT as a strategic asset were far more likely to be profitable. The results were unveiled and discussed at an exclusive executive roundtable in San Francisco that brought together senior leaders from the `Intelligent Enterprise Dozen," Intelligent Enterprise's annual selection of the most influential strategic IT solution providers, to discuss the link between how a company views and uses IT and its profitability.
