The Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Revocation Regulations 1993

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Education (Scotland) Act 19801, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

S-1 Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Revocation Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 16th February 1993.

2. The Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Regulations 19902and the Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 19913are hereby revoked.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations revoke the Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Regulations 1990 as amended. They thus end the requirement under those Regulations for education authorities to test at the Primary 4 and Primary 7 stages the level of educational attainment in language and mathematics of pupils attending primary schools under their management.
