The A3 Trunk Road (Thursley Junction) (One Way Traffic) Order 2005

Coming into force 16th January 2006

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1) and 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:

S-1 This Order may be cited as the A3 Trunk Road (Thursley...

1. This Order may be cited as the A3 Trunk Road (Thursley Junction) (One Way Traffic) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 16th January 2006.

S-2 In this Order— “the trunk road” means the A3 Trunk Road at...

2. In this Order—

“the trunk road” means the A3 Trunk Road at Thursley near Hindhead in the Borough of Waverley in the County of Surrey.

“the slip road” means the slip road which forms a length of Dyehouse Road between the A3 Thursley junction bridge and the northbound carriageway of the trunk road.

S-3 No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed...

3. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in any direction other than north easterly on the slip road to the trunk road at the Thursley junction.

S-4 The provision of article 3 above shall not apply to— any...

4. The provision of article 3 above shall not apply to—

(a) any vehicle being used for police, ambulance or fire brigade purposes; or

(b) anything done at the direction of, or with the permission of, a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden.
