The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Old Warden) (Amendment) Regulations 2021

Coming into force 2ndMay 2021

The Secretary of State has decided that it is in the public interest to restrict flying in the vicinity of Old Warden Aerodrome, Bedfordshire, by reason of the intended holding of flying displays that are scheduled to take place there.

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016(1).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Old Warden) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 2nd May 2021.

Amendment

2. The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Old Warden) Regulations 2021(2) are amended as follows—

(a) in regulation 3 paragraph 2 for “1,500” substitute “1,300 feet”,

(b) in regulation 3 paragraph 3(b) for “1645” substitute “1615”,

(c) in regulation 3 paragraph 3(c) for “1645 hours and 2025 hours” substitute “1615 hours and 2055 hours”,

(d) in regulation 3 paragraph 3(d) for “1645 hours and 2015 hours” substitute “1615 hours and 2045 hours”, and

(e) in regulation 3 paragraph 3(e) for “1645 hours and 2000 hours” substitute “1715 hours and 1945 hours”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Old Warden) Regulations 2021 ( S.I. 2021/359). They amend the minimum altitude of the flying restrictions for all dates and the specific timings of the restrictions on 15th May 2021, 19th June 2021, 17th July 2021, and 14th August 2021.

Full details of this Statutory Instrument will be promulgated by Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
