(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015.(2) Parts 1 to 3 come into force on 7th April 2015.(3) Parts 4 and 5 come into force on F161st October 2015.carry out a review of these Regulations F22and the amendments to legislation made by Parts 3 and 4 of the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Amendment) Regulations 2015,set out the conclusions of the review in a report, andpublish the report.(2) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .set out the objectives intended to be achieved by these Regulations F23and the amendments to legislation made by Parts 3 and 4 of the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Amendment) Regulations 2015,assess the extent to which those objectives have been achieved, andassess whether those objectives remain appropriate and, if so, the extent to which they could be achieved in a way that imposes less regulation.(4) The first report under this regulation must be published before the end of the period of five years beginning with the day on which Parts 1 to 3 of these Regulations come into force.(5) Reports under this regulation are afterwards to be published at intervals not exceeding five years.

  • (1) A competent authority must perform the functions set out in this Part.a competent authority for the purposes of these Regulations, andthe relevant competent authority in relation to alternative dispute resolution services offered by the F11person specified alongside it in the second column of Part 1 of Schedule 1.a competent authority for the purposes of these Regulations in relation to the area for which it has regulatory responsibility or any area for which it has oversight under any enactment, andthe relevant competent authority in relation to an ADR entity or ADR applicant which offers alternative dispute resolution services in that area.alternative dispute resolution services offered by the Pensions Ombudsman, andan ADR entity or ADR applicant which offers alternative dispute resolution services in an area other than one referred to in paragraph (3) .
