The Approved Country Lists (Animals and Animal Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2021

Laid before Parliament 2nd March 2021

Coming into force 28th March 2021

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by regulations 6 to 9, 11 and 12 of the Trade in Animals and Animal Products (Legislative Functions) and Veterinary Surgeons (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 20191, makes the following Regulations.

In accordance with the requirements of the regulations mentioned above, the Secretary of State has obtained the consent of the appropriate authority2.

S-1 Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Approved Country Lists (Animals and Animal Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2021.

(2) They come into force on 28th March 2021.

(2) In Annex 2, Part 2—

(a)

(a) in the table, for the row for Iceland, substitute—

“IS

Iceland (#)”;

(b)

(b) in the footnote to the table labelled “(#)” omit “from EU member States, Liechtenstein and Norway,”.

(2) In Annex 1, Part 1—

(a) in the table, for the row for Iceland, substitute—

(b)

(2) In Annex 1, Part 1—

(a)

(a) in the table, for “EU member States, Liechtenstein and Norway” substitute “EU member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway”;

(b)

(b) in the footnote to the table omit “from EU member States, Liechtenstein and Norway,”.
