The Center for Sustainable Energy, a US-based non-profit organisation that says that it is focused on accelerating the transition to a sustainable world powered by clean energy, has named Lawrence (Larry) E Goldenhersh as its new president.

Goldenhersh, a San Diego software entrepreneur, environmental advocate and former CSE board member, has served for nearly a year as the company's interim president. He brings to the centre more than 35 years of experience in the sustainability and environmental sectors in both profit and non-profit industries. In 1999, Goldenhersh founded Enviance Inc and served as its president and CEO until the company's sale in 2015.
