The Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2014

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Mesothelioma Act 2014( 1).
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st July 2014.
Amendment of Schedule 4 to the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014
2. In Schedule 4 (Amount of Scheme Payments) to the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014( 2) for Table 1 substitute-

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
These Regulations substitute the table in Schedule 4 to the Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014. This has the effect of increasing the level of payments made under the scheme for each age category by an average £8000.
