The Gambling (Personal Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2017

Coming into force 6th April 2017

The Secretary of State makes the following regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 69(2)(g) and (5), 104(3) and (4)(d), 128, 132(2) and (3) of the Gambling Act 20051.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Gambling (Personal Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 6th April 2017.

S-2 Amendment of the 2006 Regulations

Amendment of the 2006 Regulations

2.—(1) The Gambling (Personal Licence Fees) Regulations 20062are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 5(2), for “The fee” substitute “Except as provided in paragraph (2A), the fee”.

(3) After regulation 5(2), insert—

S-2A

“2A No fee is payable in respect of an application under section 104(1)(b) to vary a personal licence so as to amend the name of the holder of that personal licence.”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Gambling (Personal Licence Fees) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. 2006/3285) so that a fee is no longer payable in respect of an application to vary a personal licence so as to amend the name of the holder of that personal licence.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no significant impact on business, charities or the voluntary sector.
