The High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) (Nomination) Regulations 2021

Coming into force 12th February 2021

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(1) of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 20211:

S-1 Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) (Nomination) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 12th February 2021.

S-2 Appointment of nominated undertaker

Appointment of nominated undertaker

2. High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd is the nominated undertaker for—

(a) all purposes of the scheduled works; and

(b) the purposes of any other provision of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 2021 so far as connected with or in any way related to those works or otherwise for Phase 2a purposes.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Regulation 2 of these Regulations appoints High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd as the nominated undertaker for all purposes of the scheduled works of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 2021 and for any other purposes under that Act in so far as those purposes are connected to those works or otherwise for Phase 2a purposes.
