The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 6(2) of the Legislation (Wales) Act 20191.

A draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of Senedd Cymru in accordance with section 43(2) of that Act.

S-1 Title and coming into force

Title and coming into force

1.—(1) The title of these Regulations is the Legislation (Wales) Act 2019 (Amendment of Schedule 1) Regulations 2020.

(2) They come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.

S-2 Amendments to Schedule 1 to the Legislation (Wales) Act 2019

Amendments to Schedule 1 to the Legislation (Wales) Act 2019

2.—(1) The Table in Schedule 1 to the Legislation (Wales) Act 2019 (definitions of words and expressions appearing in Acts of Senedd Cymru and Welsh subordinate instruments) is amended as follows.

(2) Insert the following entries in the appropriate places in alphabetical order—

“Equality and Human Rights Commission (Comisiwn Cydraddoldeb a Hawliau Dynol)

“Equality and Human Rights Commission” means the Commission for Equality and Human Rights established by section 1 of the Equality Act 2006 (c. 3)”;

“National Trust (Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol)

“National Trust” means the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty incorporated by the National Trust Act 1907 (c. cxxxvi)”;

“Public Accounts Committee (Pwyllgor Cyfrifon Cyhoeddus)

“Public Accounts Committee” means the committee of Senedd Cymru established in accordance with section 30 of the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c. 32) (and referred to in that section as the “Audit Committee”)”;

“Sentencing Code (Cod Dedfrydu)

“Sentencing Code” means the code contained in the Sentencing Act 2020 (c. 17) (see section 1 of that Act)”.

(3) In the definition of “standard scale”, after “meaning given” insert—

“—

(a) in the case of an offence of which the offender is convicted on or after 1 December 2020, by section 122 of the Sentencing Code;

(b) in the case of an offence of which the offender was convicted before that date,”.
