The Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Amendment of Specified Authorities) Order 2009

Coming into force in accordance with article 1

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(2)(a) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 20031and all other powers enabling them to do so.

In accordance with section 18(4) of that Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.

S-1 Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Amendment of Specified Authorities) Order 2009 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

S-2 Amendment of the list of specified authorities

Amendment of the list of specified authorities

2. In schedule 2 to the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (the specified authorities) under the heading “Public corporations”2insert at the appropriate place “Scottish Futures Trust Ltd”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends schedule 2 to the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 to add the “Scottish Futures Trust Ltd” to the list of specified authorities to which the code of practice published by the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland applies.


(2) Schedule 2 is amended by S.S.I. 2008/348. Other amendments are not relevant to this Order.
