The Salisbury College (Dissolution) Order 2007

Coming into force 1st January 2008
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Further and Higher Education Act 19921(“the Act”).
In accordance with section 51 of the Act, he has received a proposal for the dissolution of the further education corporation known as Salisbury College2(“the corporation”) from the Learning and Skills Council for England.
In accordance with section 27(7)(a) of the Act, he has consulted the corporation. In accordance with section 27(2), the Order is made with the consent of the further education corporation known as Wiltshire College3(“Wiltshire College”).
1. This Order may be cited as the Salisbury College (Dissolution) Order 2007 and comes into force on 1st January 2008.
2. On 1st January 2008 the corporation shall be dissolved and all of its property, rights and liabilities shall be transferred to Wiltshire College, being a body corporate established for purposes which include the provision of educational facilities or services.
