The Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) Order 2005

The Minister for the Civil Service in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(5) and 1(8)(a) of the Superannuation Act 19721and now vested in him2makes the following Order:

S-1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 15th December 2005, but shall have effect, where appropriate, from the dates specified in this Order.

(2) In this Order—

the Act” means the Superannuation Act 1972.

S-2 Employments

Employments

2.—(1) Section 1 of the Act shall apply to the following employments with effect from the dates specified below—

(a)

(a) employment by Architecture and Design Scotland, with effect from 1st December 2004;

(b)

(b) employment by the China-Britain Business Council, with effect from 1st December 2004;

(c)

(c) employment by the NHS Confederation (Employers) Company Limited, with effect from 1st October 2004;

(d)

(d) employment by the Health Protection Agency (Yr Asiantaeth Diogelu Iechyd), with effect from 1st October 2004;

(e)

(e) employment by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, with effect from 1st November 2004;

(f)

(f) employment by Partnerships for Schools Limited, with effect from 1st April 2004;

(g)

(g) employment by Culture Northwest Limited, with effect from 8th October 2004;

(h)

(h) employment by Culture North East Limited, with effect from 8th October 2004;

(i)

(i) employment by Culture South West Limited, with effect from 8th October 2004;

(j)

(j) employment by Yorkshire Culture Limited, with effect from 8th October 2004;

(k)

(k) employment by Culture East Midlands Limited, with effect from 8th October 2004;

(l)

(l) employment by Living East Limited, with effect from 8th October 2004;

(m)

(m) employment by West Midlands Life Limited, with effect from 11th October 2004;

(n)

(n) employment by Culture South East Limited, with effect from 11th October 2004;

(o)

(o) employment by the Wine Standards Board, with effect from 1st December 2004;

(p)

(p) employment by the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland, with effect from 1st June 2004;

(q)

(q) employment by the Risk Management Authority, with effect from 26th January 2005;

(r)

(r) employment by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee, with effect from 1st April 2005;

(s)

(s) employment by the Health and Social Care Information Centre, with effect from 1st April 2005; and

(t)

(t) employment by the JNCC Support Co., with effect from 1st April 2005.

(2) Accordingly, Schedule 1 to the Act is amended by inserting at the appropriate places in the list of “Other Bodies”, the entries—

“Architecture and Design Scotland”

“China-Britain Business Council”

“NHS Confederation (Employers) Company Limited”

“Health Protection Agency (Yr Asiantaeth Diogelu Iechyd)”

“Nuclear Decommissioning Authority”

“Partnerships for Schools Limited”

“Culture Northwest Limited”

“Culture North East Limited”

“Culture South West Limited”
