EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

Part 2 of the Terrorism Act 2000 makes provision about proscribed organisations (including setting out offences in relation to such organisations in sections 11 to 13). An organisation is proscribed if it is listed in Schedule 2 to that Act or operates under the same name as an organisation so listed (section 3(1)). This Order removes the organisation referred to in article 2 from the list in that Schedule, so that it is no longer proscribed.

(1) 2000 c.11; relevant amendments to section 3 were made by section 21 of the Terrorism Act 2006 (c.11).
(2) Schedule 2 has been amended by S.I. 2001/1261, S.I. 2002/2724, S.I. 2005/2892, S.I. 2006/2016 and S.I. 2007/2184.
