Intimacy co-ordinators, who are trained to ensure the well-being of actors during sex scenes on set, have become widespread in the screen industry in recent years.

Thompson said: "Intimacy co-ordinators are fantastically important. They made me comfortable, made me feel safe and made me feel as though I was able to do this work.

"So, intimacy co-ordinators are the most fantastic introduction in our work."
