UK mid-caps warn of another recession.

Almost four in ten (38 per cent) medium-sized businesses surveyed by CIMA & expect the UK to slip back I into recession in 2011. Despite j_ the lack of confidence in 1 economic growth this year, 98 per cent of the companies said they were confident that their own business would survive, according to CIMA's latest Mid-Size Business Confidence Survey. This was the highest level reported since the survey was launched in 2009.

One-third of UK mid-caps reported they had already lost revenue as a direct result of public sector spending cuts. One in five expects the government cutbacks to have a knock-on effect on their number of full-time employees this year. Operational...
