London - Building systems manufacturer Pro9 Global has announced plans to develop a manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom, following discussions with UK-based Pigeon Investment Management in addition to interest from other UK property developers.

Pro9 Global has entered into an agreement with UK land promoter and developer Pigeon, to supply prefabricated Structural Wall Systems for a series of "show" houses.

"Pro9 Global has developed a range of precision engineered wall systems that are energy-efficient, fireproof, cost-competitive and fast to install," said Pigeon Director, Richard Stanton.

Pro9 Global Managing Director and Founder Daniel Jukic said the partnership with Pigeon would play an important role in establishing a presence across the UK market, with the team now working on specifications for a manufacturing plant in East Anglia, England.

Pro9 Global will showcase its world-first energy efficient building systems at the London Build 2018 Expo later this month.

"Pro9 Global's prefabricated building systems could provide a cost-effective solution to the UK housing market's growing pains; our Structural Wall Systems can be installed within 48 hours - about 30 per cent faster and at least 20 per cent cheaper than traditional builds," said Jukic.

The UK is facing its biggest housing shortfall on record with an estimated 340,000 new homes needed to be built annually until 2031.[1]

As a result, the government and builders alike are now exploring modular construction as an affordable and speed-to-market alternative to close the gap between supply and demand.

"Pro9 Global has developed an advanced prefabricated building solution, which is a win-win for builders, developers and clients," said Jukic.

Pro9 Global shifts construction away from the worksite to a controlled factory environment, delivering a faster build schedule, as well as reducing manual labour hours, onsite errors and overall construction costs.

To date the company has invested [pounds sterling]10.8 million into the design, engineering and testing of its Structural Wall Systems.

"Our walls have a superior thermal rating, which helps to reduce energy costs, and its high-acoustic performance minimises unwanted noise...
